Dana Point is a city located in southern Orange County, California. Easy access midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Shop, dine and play at Dana Point Harbor. It has one of the few harbors along the Orange County coast and is popular for fishing, windsurfing, jet skiing, kayaking, and boat charters. Six charter companies in the Harbor provide various whale watching excursions from mid-December to early April. Excursions year round also see dolphins, sea lions, and other marine wildlife.

Dana Point events include the Festival of Whales held two weekends in March, The Toshiba Tall Ships Festival in September, and the 5k-10k Dana Point Turkey Trot held annually on Thanksgiving Day. There are also boat shows, parades, regattas, music, art and other special events throughout the year.
